Terms of Service

The service
AccessProof provides automated accessibility monitoring, alerting, and record-keeping for Shopify storefronts: scheduled scans with the axe-core engine, regression alerts, fix guidance, a dated evidence ledger, an optional public accessibility statement page, and exportable monitoring records.
What the service is not
- Not legal advice. AccessProof documents your monitoring and remediation effort. It does not assess legal exposure and its output is not a legal opinion. Consult your own counsel about legal obligations.
- Not a conformance determination. Automated scanning finds many but not all accessibility barriers. A clean scan does not mean a store meets WCAG or any statute, and AccessProof never represents that it does.
- Not an overlay and not remediation. The app never injects widgets into your storefront and never edits your theme. Applying fixes is your work; AccessProof verifies and records it.
Billing
Paid plans are Shopify managed subscriptions billed through your Shopify invoice. You can cancel anytime from the Plans page; your recorded history remains available on the free plan until uninstall.
Fair use
Scans run against your own storefront. Page caps per plan keep scanning respectful of your store's resources. Don't point the scanner at sites you don't control.
Liability
The service is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, 8th Origin LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and total liability is capped at the fees paid in the three months before a claim.
